A Day In Byron Bay

Last weekend, my cousin and I went on a ROAD TRIP to the one and only Byron Bay. We spent 24hrs in a place i had never visited before, but I had planned a lot of activities, to squeeze into the day.

The day started off with me arriving at Coolangatta airport, and heading straight to a place 30 minuets outside of Byron called the Farm. This was place was absolutely stunning!
There were beautiful fields with chickens and little ponds, as well as a cafe and restaurant.

Later on in the day we went and did the lighthouse walk, which was BEAUTIFUL. At the top there were 360 views of the ocean as well as the beaches.

After the lighthouse walk, we visited Watego's Beach, which was beautiful. It was a quiet and peaceful beach, with a lot of cute photo opportunities, which we took advantage of.

For lunch later on in the day, we went to a place called 'combi'. This place is a vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, paleo, any health issue under the sun, they will have something for you. I ate one of the BEST acai bowls i have ever eaten. All the food we ate was delicious and very affordable.

Tarte Cosmetics

Can we all just talk about how amazing Tarte cosmetics right now... I don't know if I've ever expressed my love for Tarte properly before BUT, I seriously love them. I use there makeup daily.   There products are also really good quality, a lot more affordable then other brands and they are also amazinggg.

This palette is amazing! These colours are extremely pigmented, and you can create many looks with them. If your needing a new palette, I recommend you try this one out.

I love this tanner. It creates a natural bronze tan on your skin, without being blotchy/patchy. It also doesn't have an orange colour to it. It leaves your skin looking tan and lasts a while. When it does fade it fades evenly over the body.

This waterproof mascara, looks really nice on. It gives you a natural and not clumpy look. It is also perfect for swimming because it stays on and doesn't leave any under the eye. It has a nice applicator which leaves your lashes long and separated.

Jam & Coconut Bites

I loveeee cooking! I've seen these protein balls all over Pinterest and Instagram, and thought I would give the a try. I found a recipe, but changed a couple of the ingredients. These are AMAZING!! They were super easy and quick to make but also taste good and are healthy for you. These are right up my alley. I love things that are healthy and tasty at the same time.

You will need (makes around twenty):

  • One cup of almonds
  • One and half cups of dates
  • One spoon of strawberry jam
  • Three spoons of almond butter
  • One spoon of coconut oil
  • A hand full of chia seeds
  • For toppings either // cacao powder// coconut
Steps:

There isn't really an order on what goes first but... I tend to put the dates and almonds in first to make sure there blended well. Then I add all the other ingredients. After that start rolling the balls out onto a plate or tray and put in freezer for 5-10mins. The reason for this is because it makes them easier to cover and less sticky. Then choose the topping and sprinkle some on to a plate and start rolling until fully covered. You can now pop them in the fridge for 20mins to let them settle.

Have you made any things like this before? Leave any post suggestions in the comments :)

Bali Nusa Dua

Now in Bali we also went to Nusa Dua. This place is a lot different to Seminyak because here you tend to spend most of your time at your resort and swimming at the beach. We stayed in a place called the Grand Aston Bali, which was a beach front resort, with a huge swimming pool.

While staying at Nusa Dua we didn't do many activities, but me and my brother did fly fishing. This was amazing! We also went for a day to this beach called Bingin Beach. This was my fav beach in Bali. Bingin Beach was filled with cute little huts and clear blue water. When we arrived you had to walk down hill for 10mins to get to the beach. The beach was pretty small, but absolutely beautiful.

Where do you want to travel next?

bali seminyak

I just came back from Bali, 2 days ago! It was easily the best trip I've ever been on. Everyday was filled with blue skies, sun and 32 degrees weather. This trip you could say was very last minuet. I was talking to my mum and we were both saying we hate this cold weather in Sydney and we need to go some place warmmm. We were very close to booking Thailand.... However, we realised it wasn't the best season to be visiting there, so I suggested Bali. I looked all over social media, to find a nice place to stay. I found this place in Seminyak called the Hu'u villas! This was absolutely AMAZING.

Seminyak was filled with amazing things to do and see. We walked around the villages, through the Seminyak square. Our days were filled with going to amazing places, meeting nice people, laying by the pool, going to the beach and eating at DELICIOUS restaurants/cafes (I'm going to create a separate blog post on this).  Now the people in Bali are sooo nice! You walk by and everyone says hi and ask you how you are. Also shopping in Seminyak is super cheap! You need to make sure that while your there you go to Ubud for a day trip, see the monkey forest, the temples, markets and the waterfalls. The waterfall was one of my highlights from this trip. we walked down a steep hill, past peoples homes and ended up at this beautiful waterfall. We even went swimming in it!!!!

This cafe in the heart of Seminyak, was the BEST place we ate while there, like the acai bowl below.

So I think you get the picture. Seminyak was absolutely beautiful... I'm already planning my trip back.

Have you been to Bali before? What was your fav thing about it?
